Building My Own Personal AI VPS Using an Old Laptop

I turned an old unused laptop into a 24/7 personal AI VPS at home. Ubuntu Server became the base, SSH became the main interface, Tailscale made it accessible from anywhere, and CasaOS gave it a clean browser UI. No monthly cloud bill — just a small private AI box I already owned.

Most of what I build starts with a small itch — a thing I wish worked better, a curiosity I can't shake. Writing it down forces me to think clearly, and maybe leaves a trail someone else can follow.
